Benvenuti a Roma! The Italian capital is bursting with artistic heritage and culture, so whether you're a history buff, art lover, or just a hopeless romantic looking to enjoy a slice of the dolce vita lifestyle, we're sure you won't be disappointed. Staying just minutes away from the awe-inspiring Colosseum you'll be within easy reach of Rome's most important monuments. Make sure to take a short hop across the Tiber River and explore the Vatican City, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, with St. Peter's Basilica as its grandiose centrepiece.

Setting sail from the port of Civitavecchia, just outside Rome, you'll spend your first day cruising around the southern tip of Italy. This is the perfect opportunity to acquaint yourself with your home away from home for the next 10 nights, and discover everything that the Norwegian Escape has to offer onboard. Your first port of call is the stunning Greek island of Santorini where you’ll stay until 10pm meaning you’ll have plenty of time to catch the sunsets over the whitewashed villages before sailing to the capital city Athens, packed full of history and sightseeing opportunities aplenty. Mykonos, with its iconic windmills is up next before you sail to Corfu. Make sure to take a stroll through the cobbled streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town or take an excursion to one of the island's picturesque beaches.

Crossing the Ionian Sea you'll head to Malta where you’ll spend the day exploring the cobbled streets of Valletta before sailing to Italy and docking in Messina on the island of Sicily where you can take an excursion and climb Mount Etna, Europe's tallest active volcano. Sailing north budding volcanologists will be able to get their lava fix with a trip to Mount Vesuvius and the ancient city of Pompeii from Naples. Your final port of call will be Livorno where you'll have a difficult decision to make, exploring the nearby Cinque Terre region, with its picturesque clifftop villages, or heading inland to discover the incredible sights in Florence and Pisa. Whichever excursion you choose we're sure it will provide a fantastic end to this memorable Mediterranean cruise.

With so much outdoor space to enjoy you’ll love basking in the Mediterranean sun as you sail away to your next port of call. Grab a cold beer or freshly shaken cocktail from Syd Norman’s Pour House outdoor bar on The Waterfront on deck 8 and watch the sunset in style. We’re sure you’ll make the most of the variety of restaurants onboard, giving you the chance to dine in a different establishment every single night.
